Sage 300 People

Sage 300 People is an integrated HR and payroll system designed to increase productivity and give employees access to their own information. LAR and Associates implements, configures, and supports it.

The product

Sage 300 People brings payroll and human resources into one system. Alongside payroll, it covers employee records, leave, and HR processes, with options such as employee self-service (ESS) and skills development.

It is highly customisable, which is its strength and its risk. Pay structures, approval flows, and reporting need to be designed carefully so the payroll stays accurate and auditable from one tax year to the next.

South African payroll also carries statutory work: PAYE, UIF and SDL calculations, employment equity, and the SARS submissions at interim and annual reconciliation. We plan for those from the start.

We have migrated payrolls from Sage VIP to Sage 300 People and implemented its HR modules, with no downtime affecting the monthly payment of salaries.

Who it serves

Mid-sized and larger South African organisations that need payroll and HR in one controlled system with self-service for employees.

Our consulting approach

We review your pay structures, HR processes, and reporting, design the Sage 300 People setup around them, run parallel payrolls before cutover, train payroll and HR staff, and support each period-end and tax year-end.
